Testing 2 hours after breakfast at 7AM. A cool morning.

See below: I made a subjective decision on that first hesitation and didn't count it as a false positive and let her continue. But when she returned to that same container the second time AND locked on to it, I reset and marked it as a false positive.
All testing involves subjective decision making by the trainer which comes from knowing your dog in this situation. And each trainer doesn't necessarily look for the same indicating behavior each and every time. Trust the nose. Trust the trainer.
This is Lily's fourth scent now: kibble, seizure, Earl Grey and now this one. And with a broad variety of variables, containers and testing devices. She and Nad have become dependable and solid. I trust both noses and both dogs.
*4 Resumed testing at 2:30 PM. Lily is not as decisive in her indications. This test took longer to complete by 15 seconds than the morning tests.
*5 Nothing in the environment changed. The target scent moved to #3 from #1. None of the false positives were on #1. Three were random; two were consecutively on #4. I ended the test after the fifth false positive.
